Tri-Arts Production: The Lion King Jr.
Through a partnership with The Society, Incorporated – Los Angeles Chapter, The Links, Incorporated, the Los Angeles Chapter Charitable Trust, and the YWCA Greater Los Angeles, students at 54th Street Elementary School participated in a 12-week Tri-Arts program culminating in two full-scale performances of The Lion King Jr.
Students in grades K–5 performed in a fully staged production with licensed music, professional instruction, and authentic costumes, building confidence, creativity, and collaboration.
What began as an arts initiative has grown into an ongoing STEAM program integrating performing arts, literacy, and mentorship.
Program Impact
This production provided students with their first opportunity to experience a full-scale stage performance, helping them build confidence, discipline, and a sense of accomplishment through the arts.
